The Public House
Thematic Studio
In this project, we took over a building located at Florentin 4, where we were tasked with utilizing 3 out of the 4 floors. On the first floor, there is a public painting studio dedicated to my grandmother, who was a painter. The second floor features a shared space comprising a kitchen, living room, and balcony, while the third floor houses two bedrooms. The project focused on fluidity; all the furniture and seating areas were designed by me, incorporating wooden beams that extend in a continuous line. Above them, metal strips with integrated lighting were added to highlight different areas of the home. An open space between the first and second floors was created to provide visual connection and interest between the public and private spaces.
